How to be an Audiophile on a budget
Most people have this misconception that in order to become an audiophile, you have to spend a lot of cash on speakers, players, headphones, and the likes. An audiophile is someone obsessed with sound. If you really have a passion for sound quality, you should know that you can improve your sound system even when you’re on a tight budget.
First, don’t blow all your money on expensive speakers. The thing is, you can’t just rely on the speakers alone to get the best sound quality. You also have to consider different factors such as speaker placement, room size, and the furniture in the room. Make sure the speakers are not near the corners and walls and no furniture is hindering the speakers.
Next, in order to maximize sound quality on a budget, make sure that your audio files have the best quality. Mp3 files are the common format but if you want better quality from your speakers, make use of FLAC, WAV, and AIFF audio files. There are many music stores that sell music on these formats.
Lastly, if you want to tinker with equipment, you can hack your old media player by installing a much better power supply. This can be the difference between cheap media players and expensive ones. With this simple trick, you can easily improve the sound quality from your speakers as well.
