The YAS-101 combines two 6.5 cm (2-1/2”) cone speakers with a 7.5 cm dual-driver (3”) subwoofer driven by a digital amp with a total output of 120W. Although compact, the cabinet design provides a large volume enclosure for both the speakers and subwoofer. The result is powerful, high quality audio perfect for movies and television viewing.

The dual-driver subwoofer employs large magnets and large-diameter voice coils to realise dynamic and robust bass reproduction. This ensures that the overall sound has a rich sense of presence, making movie effects sound more realistic.

The YAS-101 employs a bass reflex port that is linear in shape and is of adequate length to provide outstanding bass response together with the large volume cabinet. The duct outlet is shaped like a trumpet bell which reduces wind noise for enhanced clarity.

The grille protecting the speaker unit utilises a Saran net which enables unimpeded audio. All sounds, including vocals and music, are clear and present.

Clear Voice increases the level of dialogue and narration while maintaining overall sound quality. Movies and TV shows, sports commentary and news broadcasts are more clearly audible.

The UniVolume feature maintains a consistent volume level between different channels, programs, commercials and input sources. It can be switched on and off.

Audio Delay Control adjusts the timing of the audio to match that of the picture - negating any potential discrepancies.

The Subwoofer Out jack enables connection of an additional subwoofer to enjoy even more bass.

With a height of only 10.7 cm (4-1/4”), the YAS-101 can be easily positioned in front of a TV. With the stand removed, the height can be adjusted. Because both speakers and subwoofers are built-in, the versatile YAS-101 fits easily into any space.

For wall-mounted TVs, the YAS-101 can be hung with feet removed ensuring it complements any home.

Even if the YAS-101 blocks the TV's IR receiver, the remote control signal is relayed to the IR flasher on the back of the YAS-101, ensuring the signal to the TV is unaffected.

The YAS-101 can “learn” control signals from the TV remote so operation of functions such as power on/off and volume adjustment of the YAS-101 is possible using just the TV remote control.

The YAS-101 remote is simple and easy to use. It lets you turn the power on and off, adjust the volume and as well as switch surround modes. Together with the Learning function, either the TV remote or the Yamaha remote can be used for easy operation.

Low enough to be placed discreetly in front of a TV, the cabinet is beautifully finished with an elegantly curved fascia. The YAS-101 adds a stylish accent to any entertainment area.
